Wedding at Mas des Costes
Wedding videographer in Provence

NOT A PHOTOGRAPHER | WEDDING FILMS
You found Mas des Costes. A domain in the Parc Naturel des Alpilles, between Saint-Rémy-de-Provence and Gordes, designed around outdoor celebrations. The light here has a quality specific to this part of Provence: intense, high-contrast, giving depth and relief to everything it touches. A place built for long days spent outside, where the evening moves from the dinner under string lights to a converted barn for the dancing.
Now you need someone who understands how a wedding breathes in a place like this, and who can turn what you are about to live into a film that carries all of it forward.
That is what I do.
Being present, without being everywhere
What makes Mas des Costes work on film is the light and the progression of spaces across the day. The Alpilles light is unlike anything else in the south of France: directional and high-contrast, it gives texture and depth to images that softer light would flatten. Filming here, you are working with a natural ally.
The day moves through three distinct environments. The outdoor ceremony, the dinner under string lights as the evening settles in, then the barn for the dancing. Each space has its own atmosphere, and that variety gives the film a genuine arc rather than a single continuous mood.
Present without interrupting
The weddings I have filmed at Mas des Costes have been high-energy from the start. International guests who have made the journey, a festive atmosphere that builds steadily through the day and reaches full volume by the time the barn fills up.
My job is to follow that without shaping it. No direction, no staging. The speeches, the dancing, the moments between people caught up in something genuinely celebratory. I stay close enough to catch what is real, and far enough back to let it happen naturally.
Before filming, I listen
Planning a wedding in France from abroad means trusting people you have never met in person. I understand that.
Before anything else, we talk. Over a video call, properly. I want to understand who you are as a couple, what kind of celebration you are imagining, and what matters most to you about the day. That conversation shapes everything that comes after.
I speak English fluently and have worked with international teams many times at venues across Provence. Photographers, celebrants, planners, musicians from different countries. The coordination is smooth, the communication natural. You will not need to worry about that part.
Why Mas des Costes works so well on film
The Alpilles light is the reason. Most venues in Provence offer beautiful settings. Mas des Costes offers a setting where the quality of light actively improves every image. The contrast, the depth, the way late afternoon sun hits the stone and the surrounding landscape. None of that needs to be created. It is already there.
The barn for the evening dancing adds something else: a contained space where the energy concentrates, the lighting changes completely, and the atmosphere shifts from the openness of the outdoor day to something more intense. That transition is one of the most interesting moments to film at this venue.
