You found Café Léoube. A beach venue on the Pellegrin bay, part of the Château Léoube estate, where the Mediterranean sits right behind the ceremony and the dinner unfolds under pines and olive trees at the lounge restaurant. A place built around pleasure, light, and a certain effortless elegance that is hard to manufacture elsewhere.
Now you need someone who understands how a wedding moves in a place like this, and who can turn what you are about to live into a film that carries all of it forward.
That is what I do.
Being present, without being everywhere
What makes Café Léoube exceptional on film is its relationship with light. The ceremony on the beach at four in the afternoon sits in that particular late Provençal sun, warm and directional, where the sea fills the frame behind the couple and the shadows are long and clean. There is nothing to fix. The light does the work, and my job is simply to be in the right position when it happens.
The dinner moves into a different register entirely. Under the shade of the trees, surrounded by natural linen and worn wood, the light becomes soft and diffuse. Two distinct visual worlds within the same day, and that contrast makes for a richer film.
Present without interrupting
The energy at Léoube weddings tends to be high from the start. The setting is beautiful, the guests know it, and that awareness translates into a certain festive generosity that is palpable on camera. My job is to follow that without shaping it.
No direction, no staging. The speeches, the dancing, the toasts in the warm air, the moments between people who are genuinely happy to be there. That is the material the film is built from. I stay close enough to catch it, and far enough back to let it breathe.
Before filming, I listen
Planning a wedding in France from abroad means trusting people you have never met in person. I understand that.
Before anything else, we talk. Over a video call, properly. I want to understand who you are as a couple, what kind of celebration you are imagining, and what matters most to you about the day. That conversation shapes everything that comes after.
I speak English fluently and have worked with international teams many times at venues across Provence. Photographers, celebrants, planners, caterers from different countries. The coordination is smooth, the communication natural. You will not need to worry about that part.
Why Café Léoube works so well on film
There are very few wedding venues in the south of France where the Mediterranean is genuinely part of the ceremony, not a backdrop glimpsed in the distance, but the actual horizon behind the people you love most. That is what Léoube offers, and it is something that translates directly to film.
The lounge setting for dinner adds another layer. The textures, the light through the trees, the informality of a meal eaten outside in warm air. It is a place where people relax quickly, and relaxed people make for honest footage.
