La Rochelle has something unique among French wedding destinations. Filming a wedding in La Rochelle or on the Île de Ré means working with that particular maritime light, the kind that shifts from one hour to the next and keeps you permanently attentive. I haven’t yet had the opportunity to film a wedding in La Rochelle, but it is precisely the kind of place that draws me. A different light, new territory, a way of telling stories that adapts.
