Being present, without being everywhere
Domaine Saint Hilaire weddings have their own intimacy. The scale of the place means people are close to each other all weekend. The vineyards just outside, the long table lunches, the quiet mornings before everything begins. These moments matter as much as the ceremony itself.
I follow that rhythm without interrupting it. No direction, no staging. The speeches, the vows, the words the people who love you find to say out loud. That is the material I build your film around.
Before filming, I listen
Planning a wedding in France from the UK means trusting people you have never met in person. I understand that.
Before anything else, we talk. Over a video call, properly. I want to understand who you are as a couple, what matters to you, what kind of weekend you are imagining. That conversation shapes everything that comes after.
I have worked with international teams at Saint Hilaire many times, photographers, celebrants, planners, musicians from different countries. The coordination is smooth, the communication natural. You will not need to worry about that part.
Why Domaine Saint Hilaire works so well on film
I film weddings at Domaine Saint Hilaire regularly. What I appreciate most about this place is its intimacy. The bastide surrounded by 175 acres of vines near Pézenas, the way the Occitanian light moves through the day, the closeness between guests that a smaller venue naturally creates. All of that finds its way into the film.
Weddings here feel like gatherings. And gatherings make for exceptional storytelling.
What matters most is not the setting, as beautiful as it is. It is what happens within it. At Domaine Saint Hilaire, the two tend to work together beautifully.
