There without directing. Watching without interrupting. It is in that discretion that what truly matters begins to show: a trembling hand, a fleeting glance, a burst of laughter in the background.
There is no script. Each film is its own discovery. I follow the energy of your wedding, the light, the silences, the gestures. That is where the film is born.
Domaine du Grand Belly, with its 13th-century mas set within 1,200 hectares of garrigue and lavender, offers exactly the kind of setting where this approach finds its full expression. But you remain at the centre, whatever the place.
Before filming, I listen
Everything starts well before the wedding itself.
Before anything else, I need to understand who you are, how you are living this, and what truly matters to you. We take the time. Over a video call, a coffee, from afar or close by.
This connection allows me to be in the right place at the right moment, without ever having to interrupt what is happening. The result is a film that feels true. Not because it follows a formula, but because it follows you.
Why Domaine du Grand Belly works so well on film
I am based in Occitanie, less than an hour from Domaine du Grand Belly. It is a place I know well and return to regularly.
What I appreciate most here is the generosity of the place. A restored medieval mas, century-old olive trees, the Provençal garrigue of the Gard stretching in every direction, and that rare freedom of a venue with no noise or time restrictions. Weddings at the Grand Belly often unfold across several days. The Friday evening arrival, the ceremony under the ancient oak, the cocktail by the infinity pool, the dinner under the paillote, the brunch the morning after. All of that creates exceptional narrative material.
What matters most is not the setting, as beautiful as it is. It is what happens within it. At Domaine du Grand Belly, the two tend to work together beautifully. My role stays the same: to be there, discreetly, and tell these moments as they are.
